Mountain
Gorillas
An opportunity to see and photograph the last of the
mountain gorillas was the primary motivation for this trip. To
think that
there are only 600 of these gorillas left is profoundly sad.
Hopefully, they continue to be protected and more of their habitat
is claimed
back.
Bwindi
Impenetrable National Park
What a perfect name. To get close to the gorillas, not only
did we have to climb a mountain (or two) and hack through amazingly
dense brush but we had to fight through thousands of
biting safari ants too!
Gorilla
Forest Camp
We stayed at Gorilla
Forest Camp. Gorilla Campis a very luxurious tented camp nestled
in the valley below the mountains.
