African Savanna Safari

November 2000

Churchill, Manitoba, Canada

Churchill is a fascinating place where for a couple of weeks each year, an amazing concentration of polar bears gather - waiting impatiently for Hudson Bay to freeze. Once frozen, the bears abandon the land in search of seals. While they are land bound, there is great opportunity to witness and photograph these massive and magestic animals.

Our trip was booked with and operated by International Wildlife Adventures. They were hospitable, professional and very accomodating - highly recommended. Our tour was led by Wolfgang Kaehler, a professional photographer who specializes in wildlife and travel photography.
